LONG BIOGRAPHY
Demolition Sound Foundation bring Reggae, Rocksteady and Ska from Aachen to the stage: warm organ, springy bass, driving offbeats, distinctive voices and a punchy horn section. Jamaican roots meet a modern sound – full of soul, conviction and dancefloor energy. Inspired by classic Jamaican recordings, the Foundation combine the deep groove and warmth of that music with contemporary production and a powerful live sound. The songs explore social questions, equality and compassion, togetherness, joy and humour. Solidarity and a clear stance against discrimination and fascism are as much a part of the band as the pleasure of making music together. Old school, fresh energy: music that brings people together and moves them – on the dancefloor and beyond.
